CRIP CAMP Free Community Screening at Oakland Public Library

The San Francisco Office on Disability and Accessibility (ODA) is pleased to share an upcoming community event hosted by our colleagues at the Oakland Public Library.

  • Title: Crip Camp - A Disability Revolution

  • Where: Oakland Main Library, 125 14th Street, Oakland, CA

This Oscar-nominated documentary tells the story of a groundbreaking summer camp that galvanized teens with disabilities to help build a movement and forge a new path toward greater equality. The screening will be followed by a discussion with filmmakers Nicole Newnham and Jim LeBrecht, moderated by Niema Jordan, director of Cinemama.

This event launches a Bay Area film series highlighting celebrated local documentary films supported by public funding and presented by the Renegades Humanities Collective.
