Making Your Home a Safe and Healthy Workplace Webinar

July 10, 2023
9:00pm - 11:00pm

Join Hand in Hand and UC Berkeley's Labor Occupational Health Program are teaming up to offer a free, virtual health and safety training for employers of housecleaners, nannies and homecare workers. The training draws from the new, voluntary Cal/OSHA health and safety guidelines for domestic work published in January. The training will cover:

  • Making your home safe for your employee, you and your family.
  • Identifying and addressing common hazards with a special focus on chemicals, ergonomic (including lifting), wildfire smoke, and sexual harassment.
  • Creating an illness and injury prevention plan and a written work contract.
