We can hardly wait to gather for our annual gala, Angels by the Bay! We sincerely hope that by October we will be able to reunite in-person and celebrate the fine work of the Marin Center for Independent Living. These past months have certainly brought on grief for some, worry for many, and a change in daily life for all of us. The community of older adults and people with disabilities that Marin CIL serves has been especially impacted, as this population is most vulnerable to the pandemic. To meet the increased need, Marin CIL quickly pivoted to activate our emergency response plan in early March. Our goal has been to ensure that our older adult and disabled community is equipped to safely shelter in place, with additional access to the services they need to live independently at home. Marin CIL has adapted and expanded our services and partnerships to achieve this goal and beat COVID-19.
I have to say, I am always in awe of our work but I am especially proud of our work that has touched so many lives during this difficult time. As our community demands Marin CIL's services more than ever, we need your support more than ever. We cannot do our work without you; truly, we are all better together…
Our gala will be a fabulous day to look forward to! We will feature wine and spirits tasting, a seafood bar, a silent auction, along with a gourmet dinner paired with award winning Emeritus Wines. Our carefully curated live auction promises to feature unique experiences with Senator Mike McGuire as our Master of Ceremonies and Auctioneer. After dinner, enjoy our famous Telford's Cigar and Cognac Lounge as well as dancing.
